Galactic Helix EDP | Citrus Floral Spice Amber
A double Helix is the pattern formed by molecular DNA. The idea of this perfume came to me when daydreaming of the relationship that forms between human and earth; of being self sufficient and explorative of the environment you're in.
The 'Components of Existence' that fill our lives moment by moment.
It made me think of the DNA structure. The double helix pattern revolved slowly amidst the galactic quality of my Mind's Eye.
One strand Human, the other Earth, interconnecting along the parallel spirals via the ladder structure given from plants, fruit, flowers, seeds, trees, places, animals, rocks, water, seasons and experiences.
And much like our DNA, the structure of a healthy life in harmony with our surroundings relies upon individual components creating magical base pair connections. Soil plus Seed. Blossom to Fruit, Growth and Harvest. Clean water, fresh air.
For me the daydream was a sun drenched island paradise (of course right?) There were abundantly fruiting trees to sit beneath, herb gardens to tend, wild meadow plants that exude sweet resins and proliferate exotic scented blooms, spices to dry and seeds to plant.
At the end of each day I walk home with the smell of crushed stems from harvested plants in my arms mingling with the heady aromatics of sun warmed citrus skins, cleansing resins and fresh, ocean breezes.
And I breathe and am deeply at peace.
