If you've ever wanted to find out what real botanic fragrances are truly like on their own, straight up, not blended or 'enhanced', then this is the right place to begin.
These Precious Floral Dilutions are a selection of precious oils; favourite and popular floral scents, diluted in certified organic Jojoba Oil. (Perfumers prefer to use pure Jojoba or Fractionated Coconut Oil as these have virtually no odour and will not interfere with assessing a botanical note.)
Why diluted oils?
Trialling in a dilution gives you a gentle introduction to each flower's message, as full strength essential oils, absolutes and CO2 extractions can sometimes be overpowering.
Each single note floral is presented in 10% dilution so you can experience the subtle nuances of each fragrance. This dilution percentage provides enough scent molecules to decipher comfortably.

Rose - The Queen of Scents, said to have one of the highest vibrational frequencies of any oil. An emotional balancing fragrance but also a rich emollient for the skin, it has been used for eons to enhance physical attraction and beauty. Rose has a complex floral aroma that may form layers of soft, powder-like sweetness, some blossom qualities with aspects of spice and green leaf.
Jasmine - The King of Oils, apparently because it is considered a 'masculine floral' (?). I find it the most sensual of fragrances with a sweet, lingering intrigue. 'Tenacious' is a word used to describe this oil as it has a marvelous longevity on pretty much everyone.
Honeysuckle - As the name suggests, this is nectar scent, full to the brim and intense. Known for it's pungency, it has qualities of blossom and honey/nectar, with a warmth to it that reminds you of sun drenched ripe fruit.
Neroli - Made from the blossoms of orange trees, this sweet, airy, citrus-floral is used widely in perfumery for both genders. It's fresh 'white' scent lends crispness to a blend and when worn individually creates a real sense of cleanliness.
Ylang Ylang - Full throttle exotic bloom. An extremely strong scent that needs to be used sparingly in any blend, but when combined with certain elements, like citrus, it helps to 'explode' the construction. This 'combustion' is used to create various molecular connections that can help to mimic other florals like Rose, Frangipani, Lilac and more.
Frangipani - The scent of the tropical island paradise, there is simply nothing else like it. The absolute is extraordinarily strong and can come across a 'soapy' if used heavy handedly. Dilution into a soft citrus, like a distilled lime, creates even more calming, idyllic and luxurious frequencies to delight in.
Chamomile - The aroma of ultimate calm. Peacefulness is the signature of the Chamomile and it is best to experience Roman Chamomile first in my opinion because it has this gentleness to it that is described as 'fresh cut apple with fresh hay'. It certainly has a crisp, lush quality that may be the reason it provides us with a sense of abundance and contentment. German Chamomile or Blue Chamomile is as pretty, but for perfumery I prefer the clean, medicinal notes of Roman Chamomile to add layers to sweeter oils.
Enjoy creating space in your day to enjoy these as singular experiences, or if you are a budding Perfumer, try combining one, two or three after assessing them individually.
All ingredients used are either certified organic, wild-crafted and or pure essential oils (distilled or cold pressed), Absolutes and CO2 extractions.
Precious Floral Dilutions
Apply a small dab of oil to the inside of the wrist, or palm of the hand, and allow bodyheat to warm it. This will allow the vapour to rise gently and for you to assess it over time.
If any irritation occurs (very unlikely as these are dilutions) run your hand under cool water and dab away the oil gently. Continue to rinse until irritation subsides.
