Massage a small amount onto wet skin and leave on for 3 to 5 minutes. Rinse off with cool water and follow with a soft, wet cloth if required.

Use twice a week if desired.

 

Sachet: Cut below the ziplock closure and tip out onto a dish or the palm of your hand. Apply to wet skin as described above.

 

Increases circulation to the skin. Avoid eyes and lips. If irritation occurs rinse with cool water and discontinue use.

Keep out of direct sunlight and away from heat.

To avoid contaminating your skin polish it is advisable to use a spatula when measuring it out.

 

As this product contains only botanical ingredients without the use of artificial or synthetic preservatives it is advisable to store it in a cool, dark cupboard and keep the lid firmly closed to prevent any premature degredation of the product.

Why do I need to exfoliate?

Aging slows down the rate of cell renewal so it’s important that as we mature, we are also taking active steps towards promoting cell renewal. Skincare products, which may include the use of make-up, balms or sunblock, need to be removed regularly to promote a clear and bright complexion. And then there is general environmental pollution and dirt which also requires a thorough cleanse. Avoid a sluggish or lack-lustre appearance by exfoliating a couple of times a week as part of your normal skincare routine to keep your complexion fresh and smooth.

 

Doesn’t soap cleanse my skin enough?

Soap or soap-like products strip oils from your skin and they do not discriminate. Good oils and bad oils all go down the drain when you use a soap and they leave skin dry, unprotected and vulnerable to a shock reaction that can bring on the overproduction of oil. A good exfoliator will be made using oils that nourish and cleanse at the same time, along with the particles that do the more intensive exfoliation and a binding agent like clay or botanical powder that draws out impurities gently but effectively.

 

If I want it to work should I exfoliate everyday?

No. It’s more helpful to allow your skin to rest for a couple of days between treatments.

If you have a skin condition that leaves you with open sores or small wounds don’t exfoliate those areas until they are healed. (Take a look at ‘Soothe’ or 'Balance' Powdered Facial Cleanser, 'AngelWings' MPO or ‘Panacea’ Aromatherapy Blend)

 

My skin is red after exfoliating! Did I do something wrong?

No you didn’t do anything wrong. Everyone is different and will react to exfoliation differently because each person will massage the product in differently. I encourage everyone to begin exfoliation (especially of the face) with a very gentle touch. Let the product work for you instead of you working the product, and gauge your sensitivity to this method. If you are red for more than 30mins after a treatment you are probably pushing too hard or have very sensitive skin, or, you have discovered a sensitivity to a certain ingredient.

Either way, apply a cool, soft cloth to your skin until the redness subsides, changing it and cooling it every 3 minutes or so until you have cooled your skin.

 

NB: If you want to test out the sensitivity to a product it's a great idea to dab a little on the inside of your wrist and leave it for a few moments. You can rinse your wrist much more easily and quicker than your face ;)

To keep your pure, natural product in best condition avoid getting any water in or on the blend.

Store out of direct sunlight and away from heat.

For optimum shelf life keep it below 20C.

Always re-cap firmly after use. This helps to keep air and moisture out of your blend.
