Frankincense is a master healer used for milennia to cleanse, clear and purify the air, spirit, body and mind. It has a transcendental effect on human emotions enabling a swift release from anxiety related symptoms. Physically it is a powerful anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and immune system support. For skin it is used to heal and regenerate.
It is used in the production of liniments for muscular aches, and pastilles for throat complaints. You may also find it used as a flavouring agent in foods and drinks. Most commonly used in aromatic blends as a relaxant for meditation, or a fixative for perfumery. While many are familiar with it in incense for ceremonial occasions, however it is in its resinous form when used like this.
It can be blended with many citrus oils to bring a light and calming atmosphere and goes especially well with Bergamot, Grapefruit and Orange.
Pairing it with other resins like Benzoin and Myrrh produce very grounding blends suitable for stabilising the emotions and energy body.
Mixing it with oils like Lavender and Majoram can induce peaceful sleep and a reduction in pain for those who are injured or convalescing.

Anti-inflammatory (reduces swelling), antiseptic (prevents developement of, and destroys, microbes), astringent (contracts tissues), carminative (relieves digestive gas, calms digestion), cicatrisant (promotes scar tissue formation), cytophylactic (helps to defend the body), digestive (aides digestive system and processes), diuretic (increases and promotes urination), emmenagogue (uterine stimulant, promotes menstruation), expectorant (helps to promote mucus expulsion), sedative (calming, sleep-inducing), tonic (supports bodily functions), vulnerary (wound healing).
Please note that because this is a CO2 extraction it is also potentially more concentrated. CO2 extraction produces a very pure oil.
