Honeycomb for this perfume was obtained some years ago from an abandoned hive. It has been aged and tinctured in medicinal grade botanical alcohol.

Amber Waves EDP | Sweet Amber Spice
Amber scents are pretty much everything I need because they can contain so many notes from Amber, Spice, Balsam, Sweet, Floral and Herb, down into the Woodsy resins and Earthy anchors. I've deeply enjoy developing botanical accords that begin from this delicious base.
The inspiration for Amber Waves comes from the bright to dark hues of honey, the study of bees; how they survive and thrive within the ecosystem, and how their lives are intrinsically woven into the fabric of life on our planet.
When it came to creating a perfume that made you think of pure golden beauty I knew it would come from one of the amber accords which I've paired with an artisan tincture of wild-harvested beeswax from an abandoned hive (may or may not be considered Vegan,...it's up to you). It brings together those energy signatures of nature encapsulated, the tremendous genius of the apis kingdom, the ability to protect and prevail and the seasonal associations we have with this incredible medicine.
So, ... have you heard of Synaesthesia? It's the ability to perceive one sense through the activation of another, or others. For me, scent always comes with a colour, perhaps a sound too, often a texture, sometimes a definitive landscape visual and in rare cases a taste sensation as well. Amber scents are always gloriously voluptuous with rich depths of aromatic colours that generate from golds through to dark ombres. They move and shift with hints of citrus, incense and caramel. They arrive like large golden waves shot with ribbons of metallic light.
It reminds me of seeing boiled sweets being made and the way the artisan sweet maker so deftly controls that large mass of toffee coloured, melted sugar. With Amber Waves I have attempted to display the essence of the experience I have with scent. I hope you enjoy visualising, feeling, sniffing and listening to its gift.
